Smart Phone

I have used the similarity I observe in mobile phones and life as it operates thru the prism of Astrology (Jyotisha). I see each person as a mobile phone and relate to astrology in terms of their life, functioning etc. I have tried to explain it in simple terms and hopefully readers will benefit from it.

Let us begin:

Humans (native himself) = Mobile Device
Physical Body = Hardware of device like battery, display, handset etc
Manas or Mann (Chitta) = Operating Software (OS) and applications.
Soul or Aatma (immortal) = Sim Card (as it can be changed from device to device just like one soul and numerous births /body).
Energy (Urja) = Mobile network or spectrum.

Now we will see each in detail:

Just like the physical body a mobile has hardware attached to it with many application softwares (Apps) which denotes a Chanchal Mann and a sim-card (Atma) necessary to connect a device to network (urja) to carry out day-to-day activity.

Mobile network: Cosmic Urja both Pranic and Jaivic urja.

Basically it is a combination of nine spectrum having a equivalent part 11.11% which each native receives without partiality. [100/9=11.11%]

Nine spectrum is representative of the nine astrological planets vis; Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu. Each has an equal part and by default an equal share for every native although intensity and refractive index of spectrum could be varied, in other words, functionality and strength can vary depending upon planets, their placements and dignity.
This interplay of planetary energy finds expression through us and bestows us with unique personality, habits and interests. Everyone of us have a unique influence and possess an unique persona unlike any other.

This intensity of spectrum or planets depend upon placement of planets in own sign/friend sign/enemy sign with any dignities of exaltation or debilitation. Functionality of spectrum of network or planet depends upon lordship of benefic or malefic or neutral houses, this factors are best explained by numerous rules given by Sage Parashara in his work Brihat Parashara Hora Shashtra.

JUST like a cellphone, native experiences various events, his inner change or general characteristic depending upon network spectrum received, its intensity, refractive index, etc. In Remedial Astrology, this spectrum is analysed and inference is carried out about all 9 spectrum of the network.
These factors are categorised into strong and weak, yogakaraka or simple karakas (benefic planets), sam-kararaka (neutral planets) and akaraka (malefics planets).

AFTER CATEGORISING CARE IS TAKEN TO INCREASE THE BENEFIC SPECTRUM, DECREASE THE MALEFIC ONES AND FILTRATION OF NEUTRAL SPECTRUM.

Native generally needs karak urja or fuctional benefic planets to carry out his day-to-day life activity, health, wellbeing, study, sadhana, earn livelihood, soul liberation or moksha, etc. They act as energy or glucose to keep his stamina up. Any decrease OR weakening of benefic urja results in zestless life, no focus and prone to diseases, failures and hardships.

Benefic urja is the results of our previous karmas ‘sanchit good deeds’ and our parents’ current karmas. They come to us as a blessing so that we can observe growth during their activation.
On the contrary akarak urja is like a virus embedded network which causes hanging of the device and in malfunctioning of it. Akarak urja (functional malefic planets) cause various negative events, dreaded diseases, accidents, loss or controversy. Akarak grah are the one which owe to us before our birth due to our numerous birth karmas and parents’ current karmas.

When a mobile phone hangs or does not function, it is generally sent to a repair centre wherein the problem is diagnosed and it is fixed. Similarly with the help of astrology we can heal a native by proper guidance about what he owes and what he is blessed with, so that he can be aware and can flow with the current for faster and fulfilling success with least resistance.

I try to explain this in five steps given by a famous Baba,

DATA OFF for virus infected network among nine spectrum in total.
2.       Deleting virus files/folders present in the device.
3.       Installation of ANTIVIRUS for safety from unwanted spectrum.
4.       Upgradation of Network Benefic Urja ex; 2G TO 4G, for smooth functioning of the device.
5.       Upgradation of the device by updating.

We will try to learn each step so that we can understand remedial astrology in better way:

1.       Data off of virus network.
a.       Avoidance of akarak urja given by malefic planets, this can be done by avoiding usage of any products represented by that malefic planets in terms of its gemstones, colours, metals, numbers etc. This aids in decreasing the negative urja and allows provision for remedies.
2.       Deleting virus files.
a.       Ejecting all negative urja accumulated till date in the form of potential energy stored in native in terms of daan(giving away selflessly) of food grains relevant to that malefic planet, or daan of others products relevant to malefics for him, or following vedic jaap (chanting), shanty, dosh nivaran vidhi, havan, tarpan, marjan, etc.
3.       Implanting antivirus in device.
a.       Filtration of samkaraka urja by neutral planets to make them positive. This can be done by following vrat, upwaas of neutral; arishta-nivarak mantra therapy; or wearing a Rudraksh of neutral planet which will help in filtering urja.
4.       Upgrading network from 2g to 4g by implanting antenna.
a.       Enhancement of Yog-Karaka urja to a higher level or widening of benefic spectrum by implanting antenna of gemstones, metals, herbs, colours, etc.
5.       Updating device.
a.       Enhancement of native lifestyle by meditation, dhyan yoga, learning karma siddhant, karma counting. This can be done through self study, aatmachintan(introspection), gurudiksha, karma theory awareness, promoting humanity etc. Understanding the reason of janma-marana,sanchit, prarabdha and kriya-mana karmas.

One experiences great success and happiness by following the above 5 step remedial theory and can achieve moksha with minimum resistance.

NOTE:
It is imperative to first liberate/decrease the negative urja(Energy) before working on increasing benefic urja, it is only then the remedies performed will be fruitful. Ex.; Always delete the virus first before upgrading the system or else the virus will interfere in the new system.

During hard times, always try to conserve positive energy and avoid sharing of benefic energy. Ex.; when your device is getting weak network don’t share your hotspot with others.
Similarly, during hospitalisation a weak patient already on saline should avoid blood donation because it will further weaken him. So avoid daan of benefics or shanti of benefics.

Note: In various PANCHANGA published locally, all substances, gemstones, metals, numbers, herbs, mantras, colours, devta(diety) related to planets are given, one should follow the same while providing remedies.

Ashwin Kumars and the Story of Dadhyak

Ashwini, Aswayuj, Areitis, Al-Sheratan, Leu(Chinese)

Ashwini nakshatra is the first lunar mansion ruled by the planet Ketu (Descending Lunar Node). It belongs to the twins Ashwin Kumars, born of the Sun God. Ashwin Kumars are the proponents of Ayurveda among many other knowledge forms. They are the celestial doctors with a repository of knowledge for treating diseases and maladies including the most revered art of making “Madhu” or “Soma” with powers to give immortality.
A story in Rig Veda gives an interesting account of how they got this power from Dadhyak, the son of great sage Atharvan (of Atharva Veda).
Dadhyak learned “Madhu Vidya” (Madhu here means elixir of immortality) from Indra with a condition to keep it secret at all cost and if divulged, Indra himself would cut off the head of Dadhyak. As no one else except Dadhyak knew of this most desired knowledge, there were many who wanted to possess this secret.
Ashwin Kumars, being foremost of healers and acclaimed doctors naturally had a keen desire to learn this by any means possible and complete their repertoire of all forms of medicines and treatments. They approached Dadhyak and requested him to teach them the method to prepare “Madhu”. Dadhyak was scared of crossing Indra fearing for his life recalled that he will certainly be decapitated if he reveals it to anyone and so he declined. Ashwin Kumars, being creative and ingenious, proposed a novel method to circumvent this problem. Expert in all kinds of medicines and surgery, they suggested to replace the head of Dadhyak with the head of a horse. They would learn the Madhu Vidya thus and after Indra beheaded Dadhyak (with horse head on him) they will put his own head back thereby circumventing the curse laid upon by Indra. Their plan worked and that is how the story unfolded. Now the twins had learnt “Madhu Vidya” and Dadhyak was survived.
The twins as Horses signify many a things as per the old scriptures. It represents all duality in the “Dwait” philosophy. The nadis Ida and Pingala, Moon and Sun, Water (Soma) and Fire (Agni), fast movement, the prana (apana & udhan vayus). This also reflects the balance brought about by the Ashwin kumars in all life processes through duality which paves the way towards Unity.
As the story goes it also gives important pointers about the Ashwini Nakshatra. It is signified as the Horse head with a range of 0°-13°20” Aries in the zodiac so it corresponds to the head in a person. Ketu being the planetary ruler means all kinds of beginnings or the impulsive instincts like a horse. Just like the healing powers wielded by the twins ashwini kumars, the nakshatra also signifies rejuvenation, coming alive or rising again from the ashes (madhu vidya). Creative powers, taking initiative in any task, making anything possible is the belief. The martian energy infused in this comes from Mars as the lord of Aries/Mesha where the nakshatra is located in zodiac. Sun gains its position of exaltation in this sign and so it also has an independent spirit much like the feeling we get when we look at a horse. Regal poise, a head turner, strength, power, speed and stamina are all the hallmark of Ashwini.
Born with Ascendant, Sun or Moon in Ashwini nakshatra will possess many a traits of this powerful, creative and regal constellation. Rejoice and revel in life with your free spirit and undying attitude.

Whose Kashmir is it Anyway?

Goddess Sharada / Saraswati

Whose Kashmir is it Anyway?

It is Rishi Kashyap's Kashmira

How this place got it's name...

Kashyap's Mira.. mira in Sanskrit means a huge lake, Sarovar.
Rishi Kashyap is one of the Saptarishis...seven sages of the present Vaivasvata Manvantara.
Those who belong to Kashyap Gotra are said to be the progenies of this rishi.
Prajapati Daksha gave away thirteen of his daughters in marriage to Kashyap rishi. Devatas, Danavas, Yakshas, Nagas etc, all are progenies of Kashyap.

There was a huge, beautiful lake amidst the Meru Parvat range.
Lord Shiva along with his consort Sati were very attracted by the beauty of the lake and were the regular visitors to the lake.
Kashyap presented this lake to Sati. The lake was then called Sati Sar.
A demon called Jalodbhava started residing in the lake and started terrorising the people around the lake. People living in the vicinity went to Kashyap complaining and sought help. Kashyap called his Naga son Ananta naga to plan a strategy to eliminate Jalodbhava. They decided to empty the lake and expose the demon and asked Lord Vishnu to destroy him.
Accordingly, a valley in the western side, called Varaha Mukh, (presently Bara mullah) was cut to let the lake water to drain off in to a land locked sea which then later called Kashyapa's sea (presently called Caspian sea). The demon then came out of the lake and Lord Vishnu killed him.

Partly emptied lake was then developed into a learning center for study of holy scriptures, Vedas, Upanishads. The place developed into a rich city of cultural heritage and was named Srinagar. Anantnag, the Naga son of Kashyap built an other city in the neighborhood of Srinagar which is now a district Headquarter Anantnag.

The entire Srinagar became very famous. Devi Gauri and Ganesh were frequent visitors. The route through which they walked was known as "Gauri Marg"...the present day Gulmarg!

Based on Nilamata Purana, Kalhana wrote "Rajatarangini" which is an historical authority on Kashmir. All over the world the researchers on Kashmir use this great work as reference.
The most simplified version of this book available in English is written by a British archaeologist M.A. Stein. It is in three volumes.

Whose Kashmir is it Anyway?

Kashmir belongs to its Presiding Deity Devi Sharada.

"Namaste Sharade Devi, Kashmira pura vasini,
Tvamaham Prarthye nityam Vidya daanam cha dehime"

Devi Sharada is addressed as 'Kashmira Pura Vasini'. The script for the Kashmir was once called 'Sharada", innumerable learning centers of Kashmir were called 'Sharada Peethas'.

The entire Kashmir was called "Sharada Desha" once!

Adi Shankaracharya visited Kashmir in the ninth century. Kashmir was then the prominent seat of Shaivism. Atop Gopaladri hill he composed "Soundarya Lahari", expounding the union of Shiva and Shakti. This hill in Srinagar is now called Shankaracharya hill.

Shankaracharya also visited Sharada temple on the Banks of Krishna-Ganga river (now in PoK). He was so impressed with the beauty of the temple on the bank of the river, he got inspired to establish a similar temple in Sringeri on the Banks of Tunga river.
The sandalwood moola vigraha of Sharada in Sringeri was brought from Kashmir.

There is an interesting episode that occurred while Shankaracharya was traveling in Kashmir along with his disciples. A Kashmiri Pandit couple invited Shankaracharya to be their guest for couple of days. Shankaracharya agreed to be their guest on one condition that they prepare their own food. The couple slightly felt offended though, agreed and gave all the items required to prepare the food and retired for the day. They forgot to provide fire to cook. Shankaracharya told the disciples not to disturb them and slept without eating dinner.
Next day the couple got shocked on learning that they all didn't eat anything. Disciples said that there was no fire. The lady took some water and sprinkled on the firewood. Lo and behold the wood caught fire instantly. This was a great revelation to Shankara. He realized that there is lot to learn from ordinary people of Kashmir.

In the 11th Century Ramanujacharya visited Kashmir. Here he wrote "Sri Bhashya" based on Brahma Sutra which was available only in Kashmir. The book was shown to them only in the library and they were not allowed to make any notes.
Every day Ramanujacharya and his disciple Kurutthalwar would sit and read in the library remember word by word and come back to Sharada Peeth and reproduce in the book. This went on for three months and then finally "Sri Bhashya" was completed. This became the Moola grantha of Srivaishnavas.

The Goddess of learning Sri Sharada appeared before Ramanuja and blessed him by presenting an icon of Hayagreeva.

Whose Kashmir is it Anyway?

Kashmir belongs to Bhattas..Pandits and scholars.
As per Nilamata Purana, Kashmir has a recorded history of over 5100 years. Entire population consisted of Hindus and Buddhists.
While Islam was making forced entry elsewhere around the world, it was kept away from the western borders of India, thanks to brave Kings of Lohana dynasty. Lohanas were the great sword fighters in the army of king Lava. The present day Lahore was Lavapuri of Ramayan.
